P-CLUB Hiring a Pool Manager

The P-Club is hiring a Pool Manager to create positive, memorable experiences for the Members and guests of the Peninsula Club while managing pool staff, pool chemistry and pool activities. High energy and an engaging personality are a must in this position. This a full-time, seasonal position from May through September, with some part-time work available immediately. Preferred candidates have few restrictions in regards to extended vacations or other commitments that would conflict with a regular work schedule during the summer.


The Pool Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Pool Operation, including hiring and leading a team of certified lifeguards and swim instructors. The Pool Manager is responsible for collaborating with the Head Swim Coaches to successfully host Swim Meets and managing the pool chemistry. Other responsibilities also include overseeing group and private swim lessons, and staff scheduling. This position is also responsible for assisting the Assistant Pool Manager with the scheduling of birthday parties, kids’ fun days and family night activities. The Pool Manager will also coordinate with the Peninsula Club social chair regarding any summer holiday parties.

Experience managing is preferred but not necessary for a candidate who has experience lifeguarding and a work history that demonstrates the ability to lead others. Candidates must possess a current Lifeguard certification, equivalent to Red Cross, or the ability to obtain one prior to mid-May. Candidates must have the ability to build relationships and communicate professionally with the Members, guests, and their children. Qualified applicants will have the organizational skills necessary to plan ahead and the creativity required to create exciting events. Pool chemistry knowledge and pump room operations are also requirements for this position. A criminal free background is a requirement for the position.
This position pays $14.00/hour.

Now Hiring for Fort Sanders Health and Fitness Center Aquatics Center Positions (pool open year round) – Located in West Knoxville

Flexible schedules available, positions available for both day shift or night shift with availability to work weekends, Ages 16 and up

Lifeguards - responsible for protecting safety of swimmers. Must have and maintain lifeguard certification, CPR and First Aid certifications

Swim Coaches - teaching and coaching swimmers on the Storm Swim Team and competitive swim classes. Swim team experience preferred.

Swim Instructors - teaching swim lessons to members and nonmembers. Must have Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification or equivalent. 1 year in teaching swim lessons preferred

Anderson County High School Swim Coach Opening

Anderson County High School is currently seeking a Head Swim Coach with strong leadership skills. They will be in charge of the high school boys and girls swim efforts, including practicing, game attendance and coaching. Scheduling, overseeing transportation and exhibiting professional image is paramount.

UT is looking to hire more lifeguards at Allan Jones for the summer and into the upcoming school year. If you know anyone who would be interested, please send them their way!

Grace Christian Looking for Coaches for Upcoming Year

Grace Christian Academy in Knoxville is seeking strong Christian leaders to fill multiple coaching positions in its Swimming program. The Program Director (Head Varsity Coach) and Assistant Coach will work collaboratively to maintain and develop a program of excellence including participants from grade 6 thru grade 12.
