Gulfwood Swim Team Seeks Assistant Coach

The Gulfwood Swim Team, located in the Gulfwood neighborhood, is seeking an Assistant Coach. This position will be an integral part of the coaching staff and will have a specific focus on the Little Gators swimmers. This team practices in the morning five days a week and evening four days a week. This coaching responsibility include being able to analyze swim techniques and determine skill level, develop individualized swim programs, educate swimmers or techniques and styles, and oversee stroke development for children ages 4-8 who are beginning swimmers. Swim meet attendance is required with a total of 5 dual meets, 1 special meet, and the City Finals. This position will require experience working with children in a pool setting, successful completion of coaches on-line training and completion of a background check. Candidates must have experience teaching at a beginning swimming level. USA swim coach or American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor or similar are preferred. All candidates should have a positive attitude and willingness to get into the water to teach if necessary. This position is paid hourly and rate is commensurate with experience. Concord Hills Seeks Assistant Coach

The Concord Hills Piranhas are seeking an assistant coach to join our staff for the 2020 summer season. We are a large, diverse team in west Knoxville that includes swimmers who are brand new to the sport all the way through USA Swimming competitors. Candidates should, first and foremost, be enthusiastic and enjoy working with kids. A strong background in swimming and the ability to work well with a team of coaches are also important. Coaches are needed for morning practices Monday through Friday and evening practices Monday through Thursday, in addition to six evening meets and two weekend invitational meets. P-CLUB Hiring a Pool Manager

The P-Club is hiring a Pool Manager to create positive, memorable experiences for the Members and guests of the Peninsula Club while managing pool staff, pool chemistry and pool activities. High energy and an engaging personality are a must in this position. This a full-time, seasonal position from May through September, with some part-time work available immediately. Preferred candidates have few restrictions in regards to extended vacations or other commitments that would conflict with a regular work schedule during the summer.

The Pool Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Pool Operation, including hiring and leading a team of certified lifeguards and swim instructors. The Pool Manager is responsible for collaborating with the Head Swim Coaches to successfully host Swim Meets and managing the pool chemistry. Other responsibilities also include overseeing group and private swim lessons, and staff scheduling. This position is also responsible for assisting the Assistant Pool Manager with the scheduling of birthday parties, kids’ fun days and family night activities. The Pool Manager will also coordinate with the Peninsula Club social chair regarding any summer holiday parties.

Experience managing is preferred but not necessary for a candidate who has experience lifeguarding and a work history that demonstrates the ability to lead others. Candidates must possess a current Lifeguard certification, equivalent to Red Cross, or the ability to obtain one prior to mid-May. Candidates must have the ability to build relationships and communicate professionally with the Members, guests, and their children. Qualified applicants will have the organizational skills necessary to plan ahead and the creativity required to create exciting events. Pool chemistry knowledge and pump room operations are also requirements for this position. A criminal free background is a requirement for the position.
This position pays $14.00/hour.
