Senior Facility Service Technician (Pool Opener/Maintenance)
Part Time, 48 Hours a pay period, Day Shift (eligible for Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance)

Strength training options include resistance equipment, free weights, and body sculpting classes.

Position Summary:
Assist the Aquatics Manager on all functions of pool maintenance including but not limited to indoor and outdoor pumps, heaters, chlorinators and filters. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks on all of the above pool mechanics. To monitor and maintain pool chemical checks to ensure levels are compliant with Health Department standards. Monitor and guard indoor and outdoor pool as directed by the Aquatics Manager. To open the aquatics department on a daily basis and complete the opening check list as prepared by Aquatics Manager.
Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to high school diploma or GED. Preference given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience:
One to two (1-2) years’ experience working as a pool operator or equivalent.
License Requirement:
Lifeguard certification eligible and required within 30 days of employment. Pool Operator certification preferred but not required.

Emerald Youth Seeking Life Guards and Swim Instructors
Emerald Youth Foundation is currently seeking Lifeguards and Swim Instructors for our day time Learn-to-swim program, and community swim. Summer Hours include Monday- Friday 8:00 or 9:00am – 3:00 or 5:00pm depending on program schedule. Pay is $12.50 per hour, flexible schedule. We can also offer volunteer hours for anyone seeking volunteer hours for school and or scholarships. We are also able to certify Lifeguards.

Holston Hills Country Club Seeking Swim Instructor
Holston Hills Country Club is seeking a certified swim instructor to offer private and group swim lessons for children through the summer. We would love this person to have experience in teaching swim lessons to children of all ages and be comfortable teaching in a pool that is 4+ feet deep. Candidates should have the ability to make and maintain their regular schedule, create and adjust their own lesson plans as needed, be self-motivated in pursuing and setting aside time for lessons, and communicate with members directly via phone and/or email. This position offers a lot of flexibility and could be an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to teach around another job or looking to teach at different locations. With this flexibility, the instructor would be responsible for checking the pool availability, setting lesson times, and communicating them with the pool manager. This role is contracted, and therefore all candidates must be able to provide proof of their swim instructor certification.

Haslam Boys and Girls Club Seeking Lifeguards
Haslam Boys and Girls Club is seeking lifeguards for our swimming facility. Boys & Girls Club lifeguards have the chance to practice teaching life-long, healthy lifestyle skills to school-age children during swim lessons or swim team practice. We offer growth opportunity for our lifeguards by implementing and tracking various grants as well as creating day-to-day lesson plans. Guards work directly with youth and will have the chance to directly mentor youth in our area. The rate of pay for lifeguards starts at $15/hour. After school hours are 3:00-7:00, but there is opportunity to work an occasional weekend or extended hours.
