City Meet News and Notes: Friday Reminders
Team Reps and Head Coaches,
Thank you so much for helping our 10-Under day run so smoothly! Please share the following with your teams:
Parking is available in the garage across from the Aquatic Center for $5 per car (cash only). There are no “in and out” privileges. Please advise parents that they will have to pay each time they enter.
Tents and Sidewalks
Please remind your parents that they are to keep the sidewalks clear of tents and chairs. While we are enjoying the swim meet, UT faculty, staff and students are working and in class. Sidewalks should remain clear and passable.
Heat Sheets will be for sale at the ticket window at a cost of $10 each (cash only).
We will be broadcasting City Meet announcements on 88.1 FM. Be sure that your team has a radio in your tent.
Minor Athlete Protection Policy
The Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Program (MAAPP) went into effect June 23. UT’s Allan Jones Aquatic Center enforces this policy. At all times during City Meet, the UT team locker rooms will be used for athletes, coaches, workers and officials ages 18-up. The visiting locker rooms will be used for athletes under 18 years of age. There will be signs posted during the meet to direct people.
Also, the diving well at Allan Jones Aquatic Center will be closed on Thursday and Saturday of City Meet. We have been requested to advise teams that absolutely no one will be allowed in the diving well on these dates (including the winning teams following the awards presentation). With the Junior National Diving Championships beginning on Sunday, the staff will immediately begin preparing for them as soon as our last event is concluded. Please make your staffs, swimmers and parents aware and ask them to be respectful of the staff and facility as they prepare for this exciting event.

7:10 am: Coaches’ Meeting in Hospitality (one coach who can get your packet and instructions will be fine... meeting will be brief)
7:25 am: First Warm-up Begins
8:00 am Certified Officials Meeting in Hallway behind Control Room
8:10 am Worker Meeting in Clerk of Course (Required for 1st shift; optional for others)
8:40 am Warm-up Closes and Pools Prepared for Competition
9:00 am Competition Begins
