Hello Everyone!

As each team begins to make their preparations for this summer's GKAISA Swim Season I would like to encourage you to take a moment and consider your team's Officials.  To run a home meet, you will need one (1) Deck Referee, one (1) Starter and at least two (2) Stroke and Turn Officials.  Each of these positions require certification and it would be best to have that all taken care of well before the season begins!  Have you considered who will fill these roles for your team this summer?  Who filled these roles for you last year?  Are they still certified? Perhaps you are ready to take the leap and become an Official! 

New for 2025 we have an online Officials Certification Process.  This is a great online tool that we have found that will take the place of the clinics and tests we have used in the past for Stroke and Turn Officials.  The attached document spells out the program and the full procedure for certification.  Please take a minute to review the document.

All of this information has just been uploaded to the website under Training/Officials Certification.  Please take a moment to review.

Quick Overview:

- If you certified two years ago and your certification is set to expire after the 2025 season, you are good for this summer.  A full listing of all currently certified Officials is available on the website.

- If your certification expired last year, you will need to go through the new certification process, spelled out on the website and the document attached.

- If you are new to Officiating and want to become certified the process is fully spelled out on the website and the document attached.

- If you are a Starter of Deck Referee needing to re-certify, or want to become one, you will need to attend an online clinic and take a test.  The schedule of those clinics is posted on the website, in the attachment and can be found below:
